Summary
The business start-up training voucher is a financial aid scheme set up by Wallonia to promote job creation.
Thanks to the business start-up training voucher, anyone wishing to become self-employed or start a business receives assistance during the start-up phase and receives specialised training and personalised support.
Service providers who deliver training and support project leaders must have a licence issued by Wallonia.

- On 17 July 2025, the Walloon Government decided to temporarily suspend applications for certification of new business voucher providers. A reform of the scheme is planned. It is therefore no longer possible to submit a new application for certification.

In detail
A natural person or legal entity
- with a company number
- who demonstrates effective experience in the field of support and/or professional training related to business creation.
To provide services recognised under the business start-up training voucher scheme, you must obtain approval.
These services must enable the beneficiary to acquire the knowledge necessary for their business start-up project. They may be offered individually (support) or in groups (training).
The service must be provided within 36 months of obtaining the voucher and must be provided within the time frame specified in the service agreement.
As a service provider, you must:
- provide proof of relevant experience in supporting and training the beneficiary. However, you may develop training and/or coaching activities on the basis of a collaborative subcontracting agreement,
- ensure the feasibility of the project leader's project
- sign a service agreement with the beneficiary before they register on the platform
- submit a service performance report to the platform at the end of each service
- assist the beneficiary when registering on the electronic platform.
As an approved service provider, you can provide training and/or coaching to beneficiaries.
Wallonia provides financial support for these services to beneficiaries.
Initial application for accreditation:
You must submit your application on the accreditation platform. Click here to access the platform.
We use a quality framework to assess your application. This framework includes information and skills requirements, as well as specific commitments in terms of service quality and training or coaching quality.
Approval is granted for a period of three years. This period may then be renewed. If your application is rejected, you have fifteen days to lodge an appeal with our services.
The timeframes for analysing an application for approval are as follows :
- When we receive an application for approval, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt within ten days.
- If the application is incomplete, we will inform you within ten days of sending the acknowledgement of receipt. You will then have fifteen days to send us the missing documents or information.
- We may seek the opinion of the Commission, which will issue its decision within thirty-five days of being consulted.
- We will send a proposed decision to the Minister for Training. This proposal will be sent within ninety days of receiving your application.
- The Minister will make a decision within fifteen days. He will then send us his decision within fifteen days.
- We will then send you the decision within ten days.
Application for approval of a new training course/support programme:
You can apply for approval of a new training course or support programme during the three-year period for which you are already approved.
We will assess this new application in the same way as the initial approval application.
If the decision is favourable, your approval will be extended to the new training course or support programme until the end of the initial approval period.
Application for renewal of approval
You must submit your renewal application no earlier than six months and no later than four months before the expiry of the current approval.
The approval renewal procedure is carried out within the same time frame and according to the same procedures as the approval procedure.
Introduction and monitoring of beneficiary files on the platform:
- We create an account for you on the business vouchers platforms platform.
- You assist the beneficiary in creating their account on the platform.
- You then assist the beneficiary in applying for their cheque. To do this, you sign a service agreement with them.
- The service can begin once we have validated it and the beneficiary has paid their share.
Closing and payment for the service :
- At the end of the service, you submit your invoice and a service completion report via the business vouchers platform . Both documents must be approved by the beneficiary.
- We verify the validity of the invoice and report on the same platform within 15 days.
- Once both documents have been approved, payment is made.
