Walloon Recovery Plan
The Walloon Recovery Plan was presented by the Walloon Government in May 2021. It has been adapted to take account of the challenges of reconstruction following the dramatic floods of July 2021. In March 2022, priority actions were also defined in partnership with representatives of trade unions, employers and the environment.
Horizon Proximity Plan
Faced with the problem of empty units and the slow commercial decline of Walloon town centres, the Walloon Government has decided to launch the Horizon Proximity Plan to revitalise Walloon town and village centres and support local commerce.
Infrastructure plan (2020–2027)
Two billion euros have been dedicated to the necessary maintenance of the regional road network (including bridges and tunnels) and the increase of infrastructure for soft and collective mobility for citizens.
Air Climate Energy Plan 2030
The Air Climate Energy Plan (PACE) 2030 is a revision of the text adopted in 2019, following an extensive participatory process. It lays the foundations for developing a new prosperity through a low-carbon economy, supporting a sustainable quality of life for all. It resolutely commits Wallonia to a process of structural transformation for the climate.
Plan to Combat Racism (2023-2026)
The first plan to combat racism comprises 38 measures that will enable action to be taken at different levels: combating discrimination, the professional integration of people of foreign origin, and an active policy of diversity and non-discrimination.
LGBTQIA+ Plan (2022 - 2024)
This plan expresses the determination to defend the rights of this diverse community and combat the discrimination it faces. Its 16 measures include doubling the funding for the seven rainbow houses and their Federation, specific free care for LGBTQIA+ people in medical centres, a wider range of services for LGBTQIA+ people experiencing family and/or social breakdown, etc.
Regional Mobility Strategy (2019 - 2030)
The mobility goals Wallonia wants to achieve by 2030 involve setting up a mobility system that guarantees fluidity, accessibility, health and safety for all through the modal shift. In May 2019, the Walloon Government adopted the Regional Mobility Strategy, which defines the direction of decisions and action plans up to 2030 to meet these modal shift objectives.
Cyclable Wallonia Plan 2030
The Cyclable Wallonia Plan 2030 aims to make cycling possible, safe and normal for everyone. It is broken down into four components, on which work must progress in parallel (Governance, Networks and Infrastructures, Offering Services, and Communication and Awareness).
Eat Tomorrow
Adopted by the Walloon Government on 30 November 2018, the Eat Tomorrow Strategy aims to coordinate, connect and facilitate local and regional food initiatives. It provides Wallonia with a global vision, a working methodology and a targeted work plan on a priority theme for the next three years: Green Deal Sustainable Cantines collective catering. The Food Wallonia action plan, a new employment-environment alliance on food, is also part of this strategy.
