Wallonia entrusts the management of some of its matters to public-interest organisations, which are created by a law, decree or order and may take the form of a public establishment, an autonomous public enterprise, a company, a public law association, etc.
There are 39 of them in Wallonia and they offer various services in the fields of healthcare, tourism, digital technology, employment, economic development, agricultural research, water management, road safety, etc.
